Terms of use
Last updated 23 October 2026
Short version: the SARAH application is free and open source under the MIT licence. This website is provided as it is, without warranty. Do not use it to break the law or to attack other people's systems.
The application
SARAH is released under the MIT licence. That licence — not this page — is what governs your rights to use, copy, modify and redistribute the software. It comes with no warranty of any kind.
This website
The site is provided "as is". I try to keep it accurate and online, but I do not promise it will always be available or that every statement on it is free of error. Features described here may change between versions.
Your API keys and your costs
SARAH connects to AI providers using keys that you supply. You are responsible for those keys, for keeping them secret, and for whatever those providers charge you. This site never asks for your provider keys and never receives them.
Acceptable use
- Do not use this site or the software to break any law, to attack or gain unauthorised access to systems you do not own, or to send spam.
- Do not attempt to overload, probe or break this website.
- Do report a security problem to support@sarahai.co.uk instead of exploiting it.
Agents act on your machine
SARAH can read and write files, run commands and use tools when you allow it. It has approvals, Plan mode and Time Machine snapshots to reduce the risk, but the decisions are yours. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts towards the running costs of the project. They are not a purchase, they do not buy support or a licence, and they buy no rights beyond your goodwill.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or the software — including lost work, lost profit or a bill from an AI provider. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
